Wind tunnel effect on Deck 12 aft — bring a jacket

Something about the ship's design creates a wind tunnel on the aft section of Deck 12. Our balcony was unusable on two of five sea days because the wind was genuinely unpleasant — not dangerous, just constant and cold even in the Caribbean. The other three days were perfect and the aft view of the wake is stunning. Inside the cabin everything was great: modern, clean, well-maintained. The bathroom had recently been updated based on the fresh fixtures. Our steward was fantastic and left chocolate on the pillow every night along with the towel animals. If you book aft on Deck 12, just know the wind situation and pack layers for the balcony. The view is worth the occasional gust.

High deck forward — the wind is no joke

Deck 15 forward balcony. Let me be direct: you cannot use this balcony at sea. The wind at full speed is genuinely dangerous for loose items — our first day a book blew off the table and over the railing into the Atlantic. Anything not bolted down will leave. In port it's beautiful though. The height gives you incredible views pulling into every port. We watched the approach to St. Maarten from fifteen stories up and it was breathtaking. The cabin is newer-feeling than lower decks, probably renovated more recently. Good storage, comfortable bed. If you're a port-view person and don't care about sitting on the balcony at sea, this is perfect.

The aft balcony wake view is worth every penny

Aft cabin on Bliss. The wake view is exactly what you see in cruise YouTubers' videos — looks almost fake it's so good. Best at sunset and early morning. The room itself is a solid balcony cabin, nothing special inside, but the balcony is slightly deeper than mid-ship balconies because of the aft taper. Warning: aft cabins on sea days at high speed get wind noise on the balcony, you can't really sit out with a book. But for the view it's worth it. Also slightly more engine vibration than other cabins — not bothersome but you feel the ship is alive.
